Rotary Club of Southampton West

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Southampton West.

Rotary is an organisation dedicated to giving service to society and in this spirit the Rotary Club of Southampton West supports an extensive range of community projects, home and overseas.

If you browse this site you will get a taste of some of the projects our Club is currently involved in here in Southampton and elsewhere. We also have a wide range of social events and we do enjoy ourselves and have a lot of fun together. In particular for members and friends we run 70 Club, which has two social events each year to incorporate the prize draws.

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you find something of interest in its pages and that you may consider becoming a Rotarian. We would like to be able to welcome you to a meeting soon.

Rotary Day - Saturday 20th

This year we are using Rotary Day to thank Southampton for support towards our charitable causes. We will be showing what this support has helped achieve in Shirley Precinct all day. Free balloons for the children!

Christmas Collections

Our thanks for the generosity of customers at Sainbury's Lordshill and Waitrose Portswood. They enabled us to raise about £1000 from each for local charities, including Leukaemia Busters, through collections outside the stores in December.

The Glory of Christmas

Each year the Salvation Army invite us to assist with an advent concert called "The Glory of Christmas" where they are kind enough to permit one half of the ticket and collection proceeds to be donated to a charity of our choice. Please see our Events page for more information.

Our 70 Club Auction Night

Our latest event, the auction, raised £1488 in aid of 'Polio Plus', a charity which intends to eradicate polio from the world.

Camel Racing (70 Club)

Many thanks to everyone who turned up (especially those in costume!) to enjoy our Camel Race night.
